Origins, Genetics, History
Afghani Kush is the default landrace strain which is parent to many other varieties of weed. It is a full Indica, 100%. It hails from the Hindu Kush mountains. It gives one the vision of monks using the weed in careful meditative practices or using it as a medicine, rather than that of young people using it recreationally for a short-lived high. It is a weed that is thick with resins in the center, with medium sized branches and leaves reaching out. It is a beautiful plant with flowers and leaves covered in resins. Afghani Kush is a popular strain to breed. It is related to LA Confidential, The Northern Lights weed, and Amnesia Haze, to name just a few.
Appearance and Smell
Afghani Kush is a beautiful plant to behold. Though it is a short plant, it is densely packed with white, sticky trichomes containing bountiful THC, but also a wealth of medicinal substances besides. Its leaves are a deep green, covered in sticky resins, among which jut out small hairs of orange pistils, advertising the health of the plant.
Afghani Kush has an herbal, sweet, flowery taste. There is even a hint of pungent spices.
How to Grow Afghani Kush Cannabis Seeds or Cuttings
Growing weed from Afghani Kush cannabis seeds and cuttings is said to be an easy undertaking for an experienced grower. Afghani Kush is often bred in order to use the plant to cross breed.
Indoors, Afghani Kush will flower beautifully in seven to eight weeks. This plant will yield a modest 16 ounces of prime time weed per meter squared.
Outdoors, Afghani Kush, though it is a short plant, has a bountiful yield. An Experienced grower can expect a whopping 21 ounces per plant from this much sought parent plant.
Medicinal Marijuana Review
Afghani Kush weed tends to have THC levels around 21% and an impressive 6% CBD. This makes a great balance for a pure Indica which is also full of other therapeutic substances.
Afghani Kush weed is your most basic 100% Indica. It is used to induce a state of peace. Therefore, it is a good choice for disorders that produce significant anxiety. This may include Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, or even depression with comorbid anxiety. Afghani Kush weed, with its moderate THC levels, can be a great boon for those suffering with anxiety.
Afghani Kush is a strong weapon against chronic pain. Chronic pain can include injuries from car accidents which leave behind unrelenting pain, back pain and sciatica. There is also fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome where the nerves that produce pain signals are overactive and patients experience intense pain from minor irritation. With a whopping 6% CBD, Afghani Kush is great for reducing inflammation.
Afghani Kush is a great choice to fight nausea, no matter the cause. Cancer treatments such as radiation and chemotherapy can create a strong sense of nausea that causes vomiting and an inability to eat. Afghani Kush can treat this nausea so that the patient is able to take their medicines as prescribed, and still be able to get rid of the nausea and loss of appetite.
Afghani Kush can also be a power weapon against insomnia. The pure Indica relaxing properties can induce a heavy slumber when taken late and with good sleep hygiene.

What can I say about it? WOW. I used to smoke only Sativas before, as I believed they are much more potent. Actually I mistook it for Sativa when I smoked it for the first time, such strong effect it had. What a nice surprise it was when I found out that this was a pure Indica rating a 19% to 22% THC content! The bud makes you higher than anything you have ever smoked before, even veterans would be impressed. That's why novices should stay the hell away from it, cause if you don't have a tolerance level or need little to get high, this shit can cause harsh panic state and you'll probably never wanna try any pot again. But those with high tolerance will bless God for this piece of heaven that evokes all the long-forgotten effects. Buy it and see for yourself.
After smoking it every time I hear the name of this strain the only word that appears in my mind is a NUMB. A total and sudden numb. At first you just wait until it comes into effect and then realize that you're already completely relaxed. All the pain you might be suffering from is gone as well. Actually I notice it becomes harder and harder to find a pure indica with such an effect. So I'll try to capture my general impression of this strain. Buds are massive and long with dark green veins, some of them look like a spaceship. They make a satisfying sound like in a horror movie when someone steps on a tree branch:) If so, it means it's a good soggy bud. They give off a strong earthy smell of a forest on a rainy day with pine aroma and hints of citrus fruits. The taste is pretty much the same: earthy and woody but also surprisingly peppery. Although I expected it to be more pungent. The effects are more interesting... The lights become a little brighter and then extend in straight lines exactly what it's like when you shoot a video of a computer screen on your phone. Then I noticed how strange the keys on my keyboard felt. Like it was the first time I touched it, or maybe I could feel more of it. Notice that the more you intake it the harder effects become. I think Afghan Kush buds would be a great help for people with any type of pain, ADT, ADHD, mood disorders and loss of appetite. Although this strain is really strong it's good even for newbies or anyone who wants to relax.
The first thing you should know about it is that this is a definitely nighttime smoke. It makes you highly relaxed but also stupidly lazy so if used in the morning or afternoon, your whole day will be spent on the couch. I smoked with a couple of friends and a small joint was enough for me to forget about everything in the world and enjoy this body buzz. I realized that this pot is incredibly potent after 3 or 4 hours as I was still high and feeling nice. The second thing is that you better have your fridge full of food, cause we ended up eating 4 XL pizzas while watching some stupid movies on tv. Love of my life after trying it only twice.
